As a non-profit charitable organization the Phoenix Zoo provides experiences that inspire people and motivate them to care for the natural world.

DETAILS

The Phoenix Zoo is one of the largest non-profit zoos in the United States, caring for more than 3,000 animals, with nearly 400 species represented, including many threatened or endangered species. There is so much to be learned about the animals that live here, and we encourage you to explore!

In addition to learning from a visit to the Zoo and our animal fact sheets, our camps and programs offer opportunities for further onsite learning and fun! The animals that live at the Zoo and in the wild are endlessly intriguing and inspiring, and will leave you with a greater understanding and care for the natural world.
