In Dining, Play

It’s 9am, and you have a busy Saturday ahead of you; what better way to prepare than filling up on a hearty bowl of ice-cream? That’s right – Ice Cream For Breakfast Day does away with wheat, corn and wholemeal breakfast foods in favor of frozen creamy treats. Check out the guest post by a huge fan of this kind of breakfast – Linda from Papa Ed’s Ice Cream!

Many of us know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What you may not know is that February 1st is National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day – how sweet is this!

Papa Ed’s Ice Cream is opening at 9:00 am on Saturday, February 1st so we can all have breakfast together. We will be featuring local favorite Karen’s Kreamery “Oatmeal” and “Cinnamon Roll” specialty ice cream flavors.  Combine your ice cream with a fresh baked waffle bowl and our favorite toppings like raisins, bananas, and berries to create the best “Breakfast of Champions.”

Not a breakfast person? No worries! We have you covered with another specialty flavor from Karen’s Kreamery.  We are very proud to feature her award winning “Caramel Toffee Crunch” ice cream.  This flavor recently won second place in the Best Candy Flavor competition at the 80th Annual National Ice Cream Retailers Association (NICRA) convention.  This is a national award and NICRA congratulates Karen’s Kreamery on the achievement of this coveted award.

The Caramel Toffee Crunch flavor was formulated and produced by Karen’s Kreamery and is sold at Papa Ed’s Ice Cream on a regular basis.  Stop by our shop anytime for a scoop.  Karen’s Kreamery will also be at the Glendale Chocolate Affaire on February 7th-9th in Murphy Park,  serving this flavor along with her all-time favorites, so stop in and congratulate them.

So no matter how you look at it, we have you covered for a sweet experience!
