PARIS IN THE SPRING (SATURDAY, MARCH 9)
Put on your beret and head to Historic Downtown Glendale for a trés magnifique event on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 11th Annual Paris in the Spring event will bring all things French to Glendale, with shopping, dining and much more.
This is an opportunity to experience the fine food, culture and shopping of Paris without making a trip half-way around the world. Enjoy artisan displays, specialty shopping, delicious dining and take a leisurely horsedrawn carriage ride through the Catlin Court District. Carriage rides are provided by Arizona Classic Carriages. The cost is $10 per ride for a group of up to six people. All funds will be utilized for the continued care and upkeep of the horses.
Historic Downtown Glendale’s entertainment district is home to two distinct neighborhoods; the Catlin Court District, with welcoming mid-century bungalows now home to specialty shops and one-of-a-kind eateries. And, Old Towne, where you will always find interesting things to see and do inside the historic buildings that house independent small businesses and restaurants filled with fabulous flavors.
Start your day at the Portable Information Booth (fondly nicknamed Mrs. Pib) located at 58th Drive and Palmaire Avenue to pick up the activity list and Downtown Walking Map.
Paris in the Spring is presented by the Historic Downtown Glendale Merchants Association in partnership with the downtown business community and The Cottage Garden.
