Downtown Glendale Merchants Host Mother's Day Celebration
Celebrate Mother’s Day with a day of flowers, deals and meals in Historic Downtown Glendale on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mothers, and those who love them, are encouraged to start their day at the Glendale Visitor Center, 5800 W. Glenn Dr., Suite 140, to pick up a beautiful flower for the first 300 moms, an event map and a savings pack.
The Mother’s Day Celebration will also feature special deals, gift ideas, and activities. Among the highlights are make and take Mother’s Day cards, crafts and tips on rose care from the Glendale Rose Society. Roses have long been associated with motherhood, making this flower a popular choice on Mother’s Day. In addition, The Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau is collecting new and gently read books to benefit Velma Teague Library in Downtown Glendale. Books can be dropped off between now and May 11th at the Glendale Visitor Center, located at 5800 W. Glenn Drive, Suite 140 in downtown Glendale. Library staff will be on hand at the event to provide information on library programs.
For more information about the Mother’s Day activities, call 623-930-4500. The Annual Mother’s Day Celebration is presented by the Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Historic Downtown Business Community.
