2nd Annual IMS Arizona Marathon Winds Through West Valley on Feb. 14th

The 2nd Annual IMS Arizona Marathon runs through the West Valley on Sunday, February 14th.  A five-city event, the IMS Arizona Marathon will wind through Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park, and Phoenix before culminating at the finish line in Glendale at the Westgate City Center.  With four great races – the IMS Arizona Marathon, MasterBlock Half Marathon, Wal-Mart Relay Marathon, and the new non-competitive Cancer Treatment Center of America (CTCA) 5K – there is an event for everyone to run, jog or walk.

Following up on last year’s very successful debut race, the IMS Arizona Marathon is a growing event that shows off the beauty of the scenic West Valley mountains and desert landscape as well as its tremendous features including the Wigwam Golf Resort, Camelback Ranch – the spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox - and, of course, Westgate, Jobing.com Arena, and University of Phoenix Stadium among many others.  Local runners, joggers and walkers will be joined by participants from all over North America, and the event will include runners ranging from beginners making their first race to 2012 Olympic Marathon hopefuls.
