Continuing with Glendale’s Centennial Celebration year, the Historic Downtown Business community invites you to attend the September Friday Nite Lights event on Friday, September 17th from 5-9 p.m. The event celebrates Glendale’s past and invites you to make new memories in Glendale.

Activities include: 
Making Memories Scrapbook.   Attendees to the event will follow a Memory Trail to pick up scrapbook memory cards featuring the history of many of the downtown businesses. At the end of the trail, you can take your scrapbook memory pages to The Creative Quest and they will assist you in completing the scrapbook with covers, ribbons and embellishments. You will have a beautiful Historic Downtown Glendale Scrapbook to commemorate your evening.

The Country Maiden is celebrating their 20th Anniversary in Catlin Court, with American folk art-trunk shows, refreshments, live music courtesy of Glendale Resident Juan Oskar www.juanoskar.biz  and in honor of their 20th Anniversary, 20 door prizes! Enjoy their largest trunk show ever featuring many of their primitive country folk artists:  SEW BE IT! By Greta Chirco, recognized by the American Folk Art museum Greta is featuring a trunk-full of her newest editions, a must see for any collector. Meet the artist, Olivia Rose of Olive Rose and Michael Day of Designs by Day featuring great American made wood work designs.

The Glendale Woman’s Club will feature an information table. See how the Woman’s Club has played an important part in Glendale’s history.

Start your journey at the Glendale Visitor Center to pick up the downtown walking map and take a spin on the Prize Wheel. You can also purchase several items which showcase Glendale’s history including Glendale’s History book – Our Past, Our Progress, Our People and A Taste of Glendale, a cookbook featuring recipes from many of Glendale’s historic sites and historians.
