Big Red Rib & Music Festival April 30 - May 2
The Fifth Annual Big Red Rib & Music Festival has become a springtime tradition in the West Valley! It will take place on the Great Lawn at Sportsman’s Park, just outside of University of Phoenix Stadium. The four-day festival will start on Thursday, April 30th and run through Sunday, May 3rd. Mothers Day in Downtown Glendale - Saturday May 9
Celebrate Mother’s Day with a day of deals and meals in Historic Downtown Glendale on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mothers, and those who love them, are encouraged to start their day at the Glendale Visitor Center, to pick up an event map, a savings pack, and a special treat bag for the first 250 moms. In addition, The Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau is collecting items for Operation Women Warriors, which send specialized care packages to female soldiers stationed overseas. Free Comic Book Day in Downtown Glendale - Saturday May 2
You can celebrate not only national Free Comic Book Day, but the 10th anniversary of Downtown Glendale's Drawn To Comics Saturday May 2nd. Festival starts with Free Comic Book Day from 9am-12pm and continues at the Haus Murphy's "After Party" starting at 8pm. Glendale's Summer Band Concert Series Begins June 4
Glendale’s favorite summer tradition is back for its 49th season beginning June 4 in downtown Glendale. The eight-week concert series takes place each Thursday at 8 p.m., June 4 through July 23, in the Murphy Park Amphitheater, located at 59th Avenue and Glenn Drive. Music lovers of all ages will be entertained by this community band of approximately 100 musicians with its renditions of marches, polkas, movie medleys and other worldly tunes.
