Where were you born? Huntington, West Virginia.
What brought you to Glendale? Quaintness of all the little shops and my dream that I would one day be here.
What drew you to the kitchen? I have a passion for cooking, and I love hosting parties.
Culinary training and experience: I have been cooking since I was 9 years old. I was always the one who would give all the parties. Now I can do it for all my customers.
Tools of the trade: My mixer. And I can’t choose just one—all of my ingredients are my favorite!
Favorite food, favorite chef and why? Italian food. Gordon Ramsey is my favorite chef.
When the chef’s hat is off (hobbies): Decorating crafts, playing games with my granddaughter Kimberly.
Unique dishes you prepare: Scones, soups, potato salad, stuffed tomatoes and sandwiches made for a fork.
Old standbys: Pot roast.
Advice for new chefs or restaurant owners: Be dedicated, enjoy what you are doing, there will be long hours, and always treat your customers as family.
How many cooks in your kitchen? I do all the cooking, but I have two hostesses, Virginia and Kimberly.
