Where were you born? Phoenix, Ariz.
What brought you to Glendale? Came back to be with ailing parents.
What drew you to the kitchen? Grandmas on both sides had me cooking at a very early age.
Culinary training and experience: Trained under Executive Chef Holly Lake in Hawaii and Karl Heinz also Executive Chef in Pismo Beach.
Tools of the trade: We use a variety of cheeses and fresh herbs.
Favorite food, favorite chef and why? Thai food is my favorite due to the multitude of flavors and freshness.
When the chef’s hat is off (hobbies): Boating and travel.
Unique dishes you prepare: Sauerbraten, cabbage and beef roulade, schweinehaxe, eisbein
Old standbys: Schnitzels and bratwursts.
Advice for new chefs or restaurant owners: Be sure you love what you do and are able to change and adapt.
How many cooks in your kitchen? Food is freshly prepared daily. I have three full-time cooks assisting me.
